I was originally born in Durban, the warm sunny side of Kwa Zulu Natal Province and, in the year 2000, relocated to Pretoria, South Africa. I am married to Pastor Edward John Magerman. We have an adult son who is married and recently we are delighted to have our first granddaughter.

My journey began in 2008, starting with a small group of ladies at Laudium Seventh-Day Adventist Church. After attending my first training session in Women’s Ministry, something inside me was stirred to reach out to women. Currently, I am still holding the post of Women’s Ministry at my local church in Laudium. I was given many opportunities to grow into this ministry and I am very thankful to the Lord. It provided a platform to empower, equip, nurture, encourage, mentor and provide selfless service. It taught me to be sympathetic and empathetic. Getting involved in this ministry helps me to live a life of selfless love to all people. Those who associate themselves with Christ will learn his life of humility, meekness and simplicity. For the past 17 years, I have been working with young people in a diverse environment in the Higher Education sector. Although I have my qualifications in Financial Management, I decided to follow my passion in serving others.

I now serve as the Vice President and Secretary of THOS-SA.

Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others.”—John Maxwell
