New Board Chairman Elected January 5, 2017

Dear Hope of Survivors Family,

With the New Year comes new changes at The Hope of Survivors. Ray Hartwell, who has been serving as our Board Chairman, has taken a new position which has led to his necessary resignation from the Board of The Hope of Survivors in order to avoid a conflict of interest in his new fundraising position. We were very blessed with Ray’s leadership and he and his wife Jeanne, who also served on the Board, will be greatly missed. We wish them all the best in their new endeavors, and we know they will continue to share about The Hope of Survivors whenever and wherever it is appropriate for them to do so.

With the Chairman position open, the Board has voted to re-elect Martin Weber, who previously served as Board Chairman from 2009-2013. Martin recently retired from Logos/FaithLife and is eagerly looking forward to doing more with The Hope of Survivors.

Please keep The Hope of Survivors in prayer as we go through this transition and spend time in prayer for the Lord’s direction for 2017. It is our prayer that we will be able to serve more victims of clergy sexual abuse and to prevent more abuse from happening.

God bless you,
Samantha Nelson
