Dear Friends,

Rose RogersI am grateful for this report from Rose Rogers, Board Member of The Hope of Survivors–Canada, who exhibited at this first-ever #ChurchToo Conference. Here’s her report:

I was privileged to attend a #ChurchToo Conference held at the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on June 1, 2019. My young children attended with me. It was our first experience representing The Hope of Survivors. My children enjoyed setting up the items on our table attractively. We sat in on most of the meetings and some seminars. During each break we attended our booth in the lobby. About 150 pastors, leaders, and survivors from several Mennonite communions were in attendance. Several passed by our booth and picked up brochures. One man also took a booklet. As this was our first time, we were glad that no one asked us to give any presentations from the front nor were any questions asked of us at the booth. We were content to smile and distribute brochures. Many engaging topics were discussed at the conference which sparked some deep conversations as we drove home in the evening. We were glad to note that The Hope of Survivors can contribute in a significant way from a sound biblical foundation as leaders seek to resolve and prevent instances of clergy sexual abuse among them. Our presence was welcomed and our contributions well-received.”

Please continue to keep THOS-CA in your prayers as our charitable status paperwork remains in process.

Thank you,
